Remembering Gen. Colin Powell

In honor of Black History Month, Chesapeake Bank CEO and President Jeff Szyperski and Chesapeake Financial Shares Vice Chairman Douglas Monroe share how Colin Powell spent some of his time to help the people of the Northern Neck.

Powell is known to history as the first African American chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Secretary of State. In 1998, he came to help kick off a fundraising drive.
